Notice to candidates yet to accept 2019 admissions on JAMB CAPS

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has noted that there are a large number of candidates for 2019 who have been offered admission but still yet to accept their admission.

The board wishes to inform candidates that if they do not accept such offers of admission on the CAPS platform, such admissions would be forfeited.

Candidates should also be aware that acceptance of admission on any non-CAPS website is not a valid acceptance, as JAMB is not aware of any admission not processed and accepted through CAPS.

A list containing the names of the affected names is also displayed on the Board’s website. Candidates can visit:, proceed to the menu titled ‘STUDENTS +’, select the submenu “Still to accept the 2019 admission”.

To facilitate verification, we have provided the list of affected candidates in the document below;
Such candidates must immediately accept such offers using the CAPS mobile app downloaded from the Google Play Store. With the app installed and successfully accessed on their devices, candidates do not need to visit any TCC center or cyber café, as doing so would be a violation of the work-from-home / stay-at-home order in most parts of the country.

Alternatively, affected candidates who are unsure of their 2019 admission status can verify it from their phones by sending “STATUS 2019” to 55019. However, in the event of any challenge, candidates must file their complaints immediately using the ticket at online platform at in “2019 Admission List Edition”.

Candidates should note that only those who have accepted their offers for admission to CAPS and whose names appear on the Provisional Enrollment List are recognized as bona fide students of the various institutions.

By implication, if a candidate’s name is not on this published list to be sent to all tertiary institutions, NYSC and other interested parties, their application for mobilization in the NYSC scheme, employment, among others, would be rejected.
