Federal Government receives 3.5 Billion remitted by JAMB

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has revealed that it has made a provisional remittance of N3.5 billion to the consolidated income account of the Federal Government.

This was contained in a statement by Dr. Fabian Benjamin, JAMB Media Chief in Abuja.

According to him, this is in line with Professor Ishaq Oloyede’s commitment to fully remit any excess funds generated by his operations to the Federal Government.

It was concluded that previously, a payment of more than N3.5 billion had been made to candidates through a reduction of N1,500 in the cost of each e-PIN sold to each candidate as directed by President Muhammadu Buhari. This brings the total of remittances this year to more than N7 billion.

The board also said it will remit more as soon as its operations are complete and the proper audit of its books is complete.
